The ski paradise of Dolomiti Superski
In winter, the Dolomites turn into a winter wonderland – discover their magic on the fabulous slopes of the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz and Alta Badia/Hochabtei ski areas.
Plan de Corones
The entry point to the Plan de Corones ski area is located by the Picolin valley terminal at just 1200 metres from the Pradel Dolomites chalets. Expect 32 modern lift facilities and 119 km of ski runs in all levels of difficulty, including the legendary Black Five, i.e. five nail-biting black pistes for the delight of expert skiers.
Alta Badia – Dolomiti Superski
The regular bus stopping at 500 metres from our chalets is the fastest connection with the Alta Badia ski area and the Sellaronda circuit that waits for you at a 10 minutes' drive. The ski area welcomes skiers with 53 lift facilities and 130 km of pistes in varying levels of difficulty, some of which are family-friendly. Add all the nearby areas though, and what you have at your fingertips is a staggering 500 km of pistes. The entry point to the Sellaronda circuit is in Corvara; the trail leads around the Sella massif on 40 kilometres of unparalleled panoramas, offering approximately 5 hours of utter bliss on snow. Please be aware that this tour is only suitable for well-trained skiers and should not be underestimated.
Another highly-recommended ski tour is the Giro della Grande Guerra (First World War Ski Tour) – a 80-km journey back in time. The Cinque Torri and the Lagazuoi open-air museums are also worth a visit, as are the Italian foxholes and the Austrian machine gun station.
